Styled in a transparent black sunburst high gloss finish, the Ibanez AEW Series AEWC400 is an acoustic/electric guitar with a soft, Florentine-style cutaway that allows you to easily reach up to the 17th fret. The guitar boasts a flamed maple top, flamed maple back and sides, and a nyatoh neck. Unplugged or amplified, the instrument is well suited for solo performance or playing with a full band. The neck features a 25″ scale with a 20-fret laurel fingerboard. The bridge is also fashioned from laurel.
For electronics, the instrument offers a Fishman Sonicore pickup with an AEQ-SP2 preamp from Ibanez. In addition to its volume and tone controls, the preamp comes with a built-in tuner. Use the standard 1/4″ output to plug into any acoustic amplifier, or utilize the balanced XLR output to plug straight into the house PA without need for an external DI.
You’ll note flourishes throughout the instrument, such as an abalone soundhole rosette. The instrument’s chrome die-cast tuners have been outfitted with black knobs for a matching look.
